The brief for this project was to transform an existing pond into a natural water swimming pond that complements the elegance of this beautifully restored walled garden. The aim was to create a swimmable feature that blends effortlessly with the historic charm of the estate while elevating the outdoor experience for both the homeowners and their luxury guest rental.
Working within the character of the Victorian kitchen garden and its honey-coloured stone walls, the design needed to feel refined, timeless and deeply connected to its surroundings. The original pond provided a strong footprint, but its purpose evolved dramatically from a passive water feature into a crystal-clear, fully functioning natural swimming pond.
