Koi pond rebuild – Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Ann had a koi pond built out of sleepers and placed on a concrete slab. She got in touch with us as she wanted to have the pond rebuilt.
Ann had some great ideas with regard to what she wanted her new koi pond to look like. Once Michael got back to the office he sat down with the design team, went through the job spec and shared all the ideas and desires Ann had for her new pond. Our design team got cracking and put some lovely designs together, which Ann was thrilled about.
Our team were very excited to get cracking on this new project. The first thing our team did was remove the koi from the pond and place them gently into a holding tank with an air pump. They then removed the existing pond. They laid concrete slabs for the inner wall and facing brick for the outer wall. They installed a calls window in one of the walls to break up the brickwork and also allow for easy viewing of the koi. The underlay and box weld liner were installed, along with the pipes, pump and filtration. Once the pond was complete and the fish were safely returned to their new home, all the equipment was tested.
